This is a Very Pet Friendly Home. There is a large dog run with doghouse and
a giant bay tree for shade.
As to the house- enter on the color concrete floors from the lake- straight
ahead is the bathroom lined with aromatic white cedar. There is an old claw foot
tub with a separate shower. On either side of the entry you will find mango
hardwood floors. The bedroom/hang out room to the left, full kitchen with
espresso machine and big TV to the right. Inside you can slide open the barn
doors, fold away the four front doors and be truly open to nature and the lake.
There are also two separate sleeping cabanas with private decks hanging over the
water. The house size including the sleeping cabanas is 1000 square feet.
Our house comes with kayaks for four and various flotation devices. Bring
your own canoes, kayaks as well. No motor boats, jet skis allowed. Boating for
big boats is at Clear Lake and Lake Mendocino.
This area of Blue Lakes is like a private lake- there is no easy public access.
There are few people on the lake itself and with the property having over 1000
feet of lakefront and 30 acres of woods behind you, privacy is not an issue. There
is one quiet neighbor.
Hiway 20 is right across the lake. This creates a drone from the cars, and also
creates easy access to fun stuff. Great wineries all over the county, Konocti
Harbor Inn for big name music, 2 Casinos, Clear Lake, Bird Sanctuary
Anderson Marsh, Cow Mountain, Mendocino National Forest.
Here at the house we have fish, bald eagles, osprey, grebe, cormorants, egrets,
night herons, turtles, etc. We swim, fish, hike, cook, play music or just hang out
with friends!
